Following a long tradition Norwegians have challenged the forces of nature and travelled around the world. From the Vikings incredible trips in small, open boats using the sky and stars for navigation to Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen, were among the first to explore the Artic regions. These pioneers were wise enough to understand nature had a lot to teach them. They drew from the knowledge of the indigenous people to inspire the equipment and clothing they used.
