The Öxi jacket from 66 North is a sleek and active mid-layer made from a combination of technologies. First Polartec PowerFill provides warmth in the cold, then Polartec Power Stretch lends comfort and mobility. A hybrid construction means this jacket is versatile across many activities, from walks in the mountains to colder city adventures.
Materials: Polartec PowerFill, Polartec Power Stretch
66 North uses recycled, upcycled, biodegradable, or organic natural fibers. However, function, necessity, and longevity come first. 66 North would rather make a garment that lasts for a decade rather than one which is slightly more “sustainable” in the short term but has material which will break down and lead to waste after two or three years. 66 North have been a carbon offset business since 2019.
This garment uses Polartec fabrics and insulation. Polartec have directed 1.7 billion bottles from landfill since inventing the first knit fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. As a company they also capture and re-purpose 95% of their remnants into useful products like flooring, mats, insulation and furniture.
