It’s been busy here at Nordic Outdoor. We have been sorting through all our new Fjällräven Spring/Summer 2018 stock and sending it off to our stores across the UK. We are excited about all the new gear and would love to write about every single new product. However, we have decided to give you a little taste of what Fjällräven items you can find in Store and Online this Spring/Summer season.

As many of your probably know, Fjällräven are celebrating 50 years since they launched their first jacket! They are celebrating with the brand new, special edition Greenland Kånken. Like all Kånken backpacks, it has the classic design, is extremely durable, and works wonderfully as an everyday backpack. However, unlike the Kånken original, the Fjällräven logo is made from leather and it comes with a G-1000 Eco seat pad. What makes this Kånken so special is the detailed patterns on the straps that match those from the rest of the Fjällräven Greenland series. So, if you are a fan of the Greenland series, this is definitely a bag you want to add to your collection.

We are excited to have the brand new Fjällräven Greenland Zip Shirt Jacket in this season. The simple yet stylish design works perfectly for days out in town as well as days out hiking in the country. Like many Fjällräven products, the Greenland Zip Jacket is made from the durable G-1000-Eco. Of course, one of best things about G-1000 products is that you can wax it with Fjällräven Greenland Wax, meaning you can make it as weather resistant as you want. Another great thing about G-1000 is that even if you do get caught in a quick summer shower, it dries off quickly. Great for town and the outdoor life, this versitile jacket is definately one consider for your next adventure.

Even in the summer, the evening can be quite chilly. So what batter way to keep warm than with the Fjällräven High Coast Hoodie? This comfortable and soft mid layer can easily be packed away in a backpack for a weekend camping trip during the warmer months. The hood has an overlapping front section that is design to keep your neck warm and is soft enough to wear next to your skin. The hoodie is made from a cotton/polyester blend, meaning it's quick drying and can effectively wick moisture away from the body. Something that is so important when enjoying the outdoors is to have gear that keeps you comfortable and dry, and this hoodie does both.

Although we have had the Rucksack No.21 Medium feature in our stores for a while, we have a new addition. Not only do we have the brand new Deep Blue colourway, we now have the size large in stock. This trendy backpack is one of Fjällräven's classic designs made from the durable G-1000 Heavy Duty. The design of this bag has a 60’s-70’s feel to it, which certainly makes an eye-catching and unique backpack. It works well as an everyday backpack for work or school, as the main compartment features a laptop pocket. Design and style aside, this bag is fantastic for weekends away and hikes in the great outdoors. Needless to say, like most Fjällräven bags,  the Rucksack No.21 will see you through countless adventures.

At Nordic outdoor, we know how important it is to have the right kind of trousers on long hikes and treks. However, there is an alternative to the classic trekking trousers: the Fjällräven Abisko Trekking Tights. Fjällräven have really impressed us with these durable and highly functional Abisko Trekking Tights. They are the perfect combination of the freedom you get from tights and the durability from a great pair of trekking trousers. The reinforcements on the knees and the rear can easily handle contact with rocks or the ground. A great feature about these tights are the pockets, as they have enough storage space for essential things you need, like a map and a compass. We know that trekking tights might not be for everyone, so don’t worry we have a great range of Trekking Trousers by Fjällräven as well.
