Introducing Forét Clothing

The latest addition to the Nordic Outdoor roster is one we have had our eyes on for a long time and are delighted to have on board for the Spring Summer 2025 season. Founded in 2014, Forét is one of the most exciting names in the outdoor lifestyle space, offering an updated take on some iconic Danish outdoor clothing.

With a focus on blurring the line between outdoor clothing and casual staples, Forét are offering some of the best in sustainable fashion we’ve seen this season. The new collection at Nordic Outdoor doesn’t only include a selection of menswear staples but also includes some more traditional outdoor equipment including collaborations with legacy brands such as Opinel and Feuerhand.

Stick with us as we take a closer look at the newest collection at Nordic Outdoor and what makes Forét one of the most exciting brands on the planet at the moment.

Who are Forét?

In 2014, two friends (Jeppe and Jesper) were looking to create a clothing brand which would encourage people to slow down, get away from their screens, and out into the wonders of nature. Taking the brand name from the French word for ‘Forest’ the inspiration was deep rooted in the two friends love for nature and belief that in todays world we’re all moving just a little too fast.

Forét is a brand with sustainability at it’s heart, and a belief that the perfect wardrobe will stretch across both the city and the countryside. Rather than creating collections based on trends and fads, the Danish fashion brand focus on creating timeless products which will stretch across seasons and will fit into your everyday life while encouraging you to spend more time in nature.

Forét's Commitment to Sustainability

As a Scandinavian outdoor brand, sustainability is baked into every aspect of Forét’s existence. In a bid to create sustainable outdoor clothing, the brand focuses on all three aspects of modern sustainability; People, Planet and Animals and looks to create clothing which can be better for the planet.

The Spring Summer 2025 collection uses a high proportion of eco-friendly materials with a high inclusion of organic cotton and certified organic materials. Alongside this the brand reuses many of their offcuts in order to minimise textile waste and reduce the impact of their production process. In the collection there is limited to no use of leather, angora, fur or other materials which can be detrimental to animal welfare. When wool is used in the Forét collection the wool is from non-mulesed sources to again reduce the negative impact on animals.

As a commitment to their sustainability ethos and desire to create modern, eco-friendly apparel, Forét are certified under both the Global Organic Textile Standard and the Global Recycled Standard. Sustainable brand directory ‘Good on You’ rank the brand as ‘Good’ which recognises they have adopted policies and practices to manage multiple issues across the supply chain and demonstrate leadership in one or more areas.

The 2025 Collection at Nordic Outdoor

Spring Summer 2025 marks the first Forét collection to be stocked at Nordic Outdoor and showcases the essence of the Danish outdoor brand. Offering timeless wardrobe staples which can be worn in both the city and the wild this is the perfect addition to the modern outdoor wardrobe.

For 2025 the sustainable outdoor label bring some warm weather and good vibes to the shelves of Nordic Outdoor with the introduction of their “Bees and Things and flowers” collection. With a name taken straight from one of the most summer ready songs in history – ‘Everybody Loves the Sunshine’ – this collection showcases the same relaxed and uplifting attitude that Roy Ayers brought us all in 1976.

To stay in fitting with the Danish brands outdoor inspired ethos they have used a natural colour palette across the new collection with shades of blue, brown, green and yellow being the key themes running throughout.

Hardwearing workwear inspired styles such as the Sienna Workwear shorts and Sienna Workwear pants sit perfectly alongside the brands lightweight shirting offerings in Jacquard and Seersucker.

As an outdoor lifestyle brand we were delighted to see some nods to the iconic outdoor equipment brands who are known and loved by our core community scattered through the new collection. Both the Foret x Opinel pocket knife and the Forét x Feuerhand lantern help put a modern spin on some of the most recognisable bushcraft staples in our collection.

The products currently available online now are just the first deliveries from the Spring Summer collection and you will be able to buy Forét from Nordic Outdoor retail locations from high Summer when our full collection lands.
