The past week has been a wake-up call for many in the Outdoor industry including ourselves. While on Thursday there was no official advice regarding staying away from the hills and the countryside this quickly changed and over the weekend the Scottish government asked everyone to avoid travelling to rural areas while Scottish Mountain Rescue deemed the mountains ‘closed’.
As a company who specialise in Outdoor clothing & equipment and a group of people who love spending time out in the great outdoors this is obviously not the news we wanted to receive. The truth is however that the more of us who practise social distancing and the quicker we do this then the more lives that can be saved and the faster we can beat this!
Therefore, we are asking all our customers to either stay indoors or enjoy the nature around you. Don’t travel to the hills, don’t take unnecessary risks outdoors and don’t have group meetings or expeditions until this is all over. We will be constantly updating our blogs, social media and emails with some ideas of how you can bring the outdoors in over this period and looking at ways we can help people plan for their next adventure when this is all over.
