The Hilleberg Enan is modelled after the award-winning and best-selling Akto. The Enan is lighter than the Akto, but still benefits from being a sturdy weather beating tent. In the 2015 version of Enan the 10 denier, Kerlon 600 outer material was used, making it the lightest tent ever made by Hilleberg

The Enan is modelled after the award-winning, best-selling Akto, with the goal of making a three season version that was as light as possible while still having the strength required from a Hilleberg tent.

The Akto's proven single pole design was used and its single-ended full pole sleeve system, then the weight was reduced by using lighter fabrics in both the inner and outer tents. In this version of Enan 10 denier, Kerlon 600 outer tent fabric specifically designed for the Enan was used. Since then product difficulties has meant that the fabric has been replaced with Kerlon 1000, which is slightly heavier. That means that the Enan 2015 is the lightest tent ever made by Hilleberg and is ideal for those who have low weight as their key determinant when selecting between Hilleberg models.

As with other Yellow Label tents, the Enan's venting system is built into its construction: a full mesh inner tent door, in combination with outer tent head and foot ends of tough mesh both allows and encourages constant air flow. For very windy and rainy conditions, Kerlon 600 fabric panels can be rolled down and secured to cover the outer tent's mesh ends. When not in use, these panels roll up and stuff into integrated pockets.

The reason that Hilleberg no longer make the Enan in Kerlon 600 has nothing to do with the quality of the fabric. In fact, the Kerlon 600 offer a fantastic combination of reliability and low weight. Being more difficult to manufacture in this material these Enan 2015 were originally priced at £558.95, so if you are looking for a lightweight three-season tent, Enan 2015 offers extremely good value for money. Other than the fabric the only difference between the two versions of the Enan is that the 2015 version comes with Tri-Pegs rather than V-pegs, everything is exactly the same.
