The Kaldi from Icelandic Brand 66 North combines the traditional Icelandic "lopapeysa" wool sweater with an inner layer made of GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ fabric. A fantastically unique and versatile garment for a wide range of winter activities, this is truly a stand out piece in the 66 North range. The Kaldi is equipped with two zipped pockets and made of Icelandic wool. The wool from the Icelandic sheep has two coats, firstly a fine warm inner coat (Þel) and then a coarse long haired outer coat (Tog), providing shelter for cold, rainy and windy days.

66 North uses recycled, upcycled, biodegradable, or organic natural fibers. However, function, necessity, and longevity come first. 66 North would rather make a garment that lasts for a decade rather than one which is slightly more “sustainable” in the short term but has material which will break down and lead to waste after two or three years. ​66 North have been a carbon offset business since 2019.

This garment uses Icelandic wool, wool reacts to changes in your body temperature and regulates the temperature level by cold and heat - just as your body does. Wool is a natural material that does not get dirty so quickly and it is an environmentally friendly fiber that can also easily be composted.

We offer a range of UK tracked and timed shipping options with all orders over £80 being eligible for FREE UK Delivery. Please note that as there are no DPD collections over the weekend any Next Day orders placed after 11am on a Friday will be shipped the following Monday.
