This garment is 45% wool, 45% Polyester. It Features a front waxed cotton pocket.

Wool is a natural “high-tec” fibre and possesses a number of advantages, such as its ability to uptake and release moisture vapour up to 36% of its dry weight, while being water-repellent at the same time. Recycled wool is a very sustainable option, as it saves a considerable amount of water, reduces land use and the use of chemicals for dyeing. Amundsen’s recycled wool products are RWS-certified which comes from sustainable farms that respect animal welfare, the environment and the economic and social conditions of the farmers themselves.

Unlike PFC chemistry which has been produced to give hydrophobic effects, waxed cotton fabrics offer this barrier naturally. There is therefore less impact on the environment using waxes as a water repellent. Natural waxes are fully biodegradable.
