The bag has one large opening allowing you to find your belongings easily or alternatively there is a small stash pocket on the outside for quick access to valuables. The straps for the backpack feature compression stopping your belongings from falling to the bottom of the bag making them hard to find. The included carry case makes the bag easy to store when not being used but can also be used as a smaller bag to store items within your bag. The Chasm is made otu of 840D nylon, polyester and Phthalate-free laminate.

Phthalate is a compound used in order to strengthen plastic, if released into the enviroment it can cause hormone disruption to animals stuning reproduction and development. Additionally it is toxic to wildlife. By not using it Thule is making the stance that our enviroment is more important than profit margins. A approach many brands could take inspiration from.
