Fjällräven Men's Jackets

Fjallraven Men's jackets, parkas and coats

Fjallraven Jackets are a mainstay of our collection here at Nordic Outdoor and we’ve been working closely with the brand for nearly 20 years.

As with the entire Fjallraven collection the Men’s Jackets we stock online and instore have been designed, constructed and selected due to their durability, sustainability and style.

Thanks to the widespread use of G-1000 material throughout the Fjallraven collection these are some of the most adaptable and multi-functional outdoor jackets currently available in the UK. With the use of G-1000 and Greenland Wax you can alter the levels of water resistance and breathability dependent on the conditions you are expecting.

While Fjallraven as a brand has evolved hugely since that first backpack in 1960 we are still stocking some of the labels most iconic men’s jackets including the winter ready Nuuk Parka, the incredibly durable Anorak No.8 and the instantly recognisable Greenland No.1 Down Jacket.

From our summer range of lighweight anoraks and work jackets to the winter ready collection of Fjallraven down jackets and parka’s there is something here for every adventure. With sustainability at the forefront of Fjallraven’s decision making process we are proud to announce that the entire collection has been PFA free since 2015 and that each jacket comes with a two year warranty, meaning you can be assured that these jackets will last for your next adventure into the wild!

      Fjällräven Men's Jackets FAQ

Are Fjallraven Jackets good for Winter?

As with many of the best outdoor brands, Fjallraven jackets have been designed with the harsh Swedish environment in mind - meaning they should hold up well in the cold British winter. By utilising a number of materials including recycled padding, down and G1000 the brand have created a range of Mens Jackets perfect for the whole season.

      Are Fjallraven Jackets Waterproof?

The majority of our Fjallraven Mens Jackets are water resistant rather than being waterproof which means you get the additional benefit or lightness and breathability. If you are expecting some serious downpours however you can look at Fjallraven's latest Hydratic range which offers 10,000mm of waterproofing.

How do Fjallraven Mens Jackets fit?

If you're looking at purchasing a new Fjallraven Jacket then getting the fit right will be a top priority. The good news is that most of the Fjallraven Coats we stock here at Nordic Outdoor fit true to size. It is worth considering how you plan to use the jacket however to ensure you get the perfect fit - if you're looking to wear a lot of heavy layers underneath your jacket then you should consider sizing up for additional comfort.

How can you tell if Fjallraven jacket is real?

With the rise in popularity of Fjallraven Jackets there has also been an increase in the number of counterfeit products available on the market. Here at Nordic Outdoor we work directly with Fjallraven and all products on our website are 100% genuine.

If you’re concerned about the quality or legitimacy of your Fjallraven purchase then you can use the handy ‘Verify Reseller’ tool on the Fjallraven official website.

What fabric are Fjallraven Jacket’s made from?

Fjallraven offer a wide range of Men’s jackets which are designed for a range of purposes and outdoor activities – for this reason the fabrics used can vary from style to style.

Many Fjallraven jackets are constructed using the brands iconic G-1000 fabric which is a durable Polycotton blend made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The wonder of G-1000 is the fabrics durability, offering a combination of water resistance and breathability which can be changed and adapted using the brands Greenland Wax.

      Does G-1000 come pre-waxed?

Most Fjallraven jackets which are constructed using G-1000 are sold pre-waxed to give you some weather resistance from first wear. It’s worth bearing in mind however that with regular wear or after washing the wax protection on your jacket will be reduced and you will want to reapply a coating of Fjallraven’s Greenland Wax.

This mixture of beeswax and paraffin provides natural weather protection for your G-1000 garments adding water resistance and some additional warmth to your outerwear.

      Where are Fjallraven jackets made?

Fjallraven jackets are primarily made in China and Vietnam from production partners who adhere to the Fair Labor Association standards.
