The Thyra Jacket from Didriksons is the perfect style to help you tackle the Spring Showers. Not only is the jacket the perfect companion for walks by the shore but it is made with an important purpose: to be recycled. It is made in a mono-material design, meaning that the fabric is easier to recycle since it doesn’t have to be separated. The jacket’s materials are all made in polyester, from the mesh lining to the laminated surface.

As a brand, Didriksons wanted to push their limits with Thyra, and challenge the standard ways of designing a sporty, functional jacket. So, we made an anorak without any trims. This makes for a lighter jacket that is easy to pack for your escapades and is also one of the important features that makes it so easy to recycle. Thyra is a trim free jacket, anorak style, with an oversized fit.

They achieve this by means of timeless design, careful choice of colours, long-term relationships with customers and producers, environmental protection programmes and sustainability projects to help them constantly develop and improve. Didriksons use sustainable materials and dyeing processes and PFC-free impregnation treatments. Since 2018 several of our waterproof garments have been made from recyclable polyester. We promote the use of single component rather than mixed materials in order to facilitate future recycling processes.

Polyester can be recycled endlessly in a circular recycling system without lowering the quality. By offering both recycled and recyclable products, they have come close to the goal of offering maximum experiences with minimal environmental impact. Production of polyester, especially recycled polyester, require less water to produce than many other fibres.
