Gransfors Bruk Ceramic Axe Stone

This ceramic sharpening stone is made with a grain structure which renders the stone both tough and long-lasting. The advantage of a ceramic stone over a natural stone is that the grain size can be more precise. It has a coarse (180 grit) and a fine (600 grit) side. The coarse side is made to repair damage from wear and the fine side is made for grinding. As the fine side usually wears more it makes up 2/3 of the thickness of the stone. The stone is round and flat with bevelled edges. It comes in a rubber case that can be used to hold the stone as well. Normally the stone is used with water but it can be used dry as well.
