After a successful launch of our Edinburgh St James Quarter store in 2021 Nordic Outdoor have made the biggest move in our history to date with the opening of our Central London Covent Garden store in August. Our first ever Central London store is situated on Southampton Street which is the heart of the outdoor industry in London hosting some of the biggest names in outdoor including Ellis Brigham, Cotswolds, and The North Face. Our new 1400²ft store provides a single level showcase of some of the best in Scandinavian outdoor apparel and equipment from some of the most exciting outdoor brands around at the moment.
Since we started out back in 2005 we have been proud to be flying the flag for Scandinavian outdoor clothing and fashion and since those initial weekends at outdoor and game fairs we have grown to now have four stores across Edinburgh, Keswick and London. This exciting new step into the centre of London acts as an opportunity to reach a new generation of outdoor customers alongside our loyal customer base who have shopped with us online and in our previous Richmond location.
Our founder Caspar Odqvist said Nordic Outdoor’s aim is to use this store “to shake up an outdoor market, which can look all too similar from store to store with only the name above the doors changing. With new brands, a Scandinavian mindset and 20 years of experience behind us, we can’t wait to enjoy our first season in the capital.”
The store also gives the brand an opportunity to introduce its new retail concept which “marks the next stage in a 20-year journey. In this time, the outdoor market has changed dramatically and more customers than ever are looking to get involved in experiences. Valuing style just as much as functionality,” Caspar added.
Alongside the brands we have been working with since the earliest days of Nordic Outdoor we are delighted to introduce some newcomers to the mix for Autumn Winter 2022 including 66° North, Artilect Studios and the return of Houdini Sportswear. We have also introduced our largest ever collection from masters of the coolbox, YETI.
