Nordic Outdoor are delighted to announce that in November '22 we'll have the incredibly talented Florence Embroidery join us in two of our stores to create some hand embroidered, 100% unique Fjallraven Kanken rucksacks.
Originally introduced in the 1970's in a bid to relieve back pain among Swedish school children the Kanken has grown to become one of the most instantly recognisable designs in the world and is a mainstay on backs across the globe. The success of the Kanken is showing no sign of slowing down and the range has now grown to include Art varieties, Kanken Laptop's, Kanken Mini and the Kanken Rainbow range.
As part of Edinburgh Style Week on the Saturday 5th November and then again in our Covent Garden store on the 19th November you will have the chance to have any instore Kanken purchase customised with Florence's unique embroidery. Maybe you're looking to create a special Christmas gift for someone in your life or are just looking to showcase your love of the wild through some hand stitched detailing.
Each bag will take around 45 minutes to complete so spaces will be limited on the day. If you are looking to attend and pick up a Kanken on either day and would like to secure a slot then please email us at [email protected] - unfortunately due to time constraints Florence will be unable to customise any rucksacks not purchased instore.
